Guardiola Questions Why Marmush Is Playing Less

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola shared his thoughts on striker Omar Marmoush receiving limited playing time. Recently, the Egyptian player has mostly been coming off the bench and participating in the final minutes of matches.

“Omar is one of the best players in our team. However, I see him as a striker, and in this position, Erling Haaland is playing. As a result, Marmoush is getting less playing time than he deserves,” Guardiola said in an interview.

Omar Marmoush has appeared in 13 matches for the “Citizens” this season but started in the first eleven only four times.

At the beginning of the year, the English giant signed Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt for €75 million.
