Argentine forward Paulo Dybala has announced his desire to remain at AS Roma. Earlier, reports had circulated that he intended to leave the club and that the team did not plan to extend his contract.
Currently, the 32-year-old Dybala has a contract with Roma valid until June 30, 2026. According to the publication La Repubblica, the player was surprised by rumors about his potential departure.
The club management has not yet made a final decision regarding Dybala. Roma has adopted a strategy of rejuvenating the squad, but this does not necessarily imply parting ways with the Argentine footballer.
Nevertheless, if the contract is extended, Dybala would have to agree to a significant reduction in his current annual salary of €8.5 million. During the 2025/2026 season, Dybala appeared in 12 matches, scored 2 goals, and provided 1 assist.
