Liverpool head coach Arne Slot commented on Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah not being included in the squad for the Champions League match against Inter. The Reds secured a narrow victory at the San Siro stadium without the Egyptian international.
The 33-year-old forward had given a controversial interview following the draw against Leeds in the previous match, which led to him not traveling to Italy with the team.
"It was very tough for everyone, including Salah, after conceding a last-minute goal against Leeds. Salah did not participate in this game, but the situation also affected him.
I fully understand that during Friday's press conference, all the questions will be about Mo (Mohamed Salah). Everyone makes mistakes.
The question is whether the player himself acknowledges this mistake or not,” Slot told journalists. On Saturday, Liverpool will host Brighton at home in a Premier League fixture.
