Gabriel Jesus, the forward for London-based Arsenal, has returned to the pitch after a lengthy absence. Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta substituted the Brazilian player during the UEFA Champions League match against Club Brugge in the 62nd minute.
Jesus replaced Viktor Gyökeres, and at that point in the game, the "Gunners" were leading with a score of 3–0. This marked Gabriel Jesus's first appearance since January 12, 2023.
On that date, he sustained a knee injury during an FA Cup match against Manchester United, sidelining him for an extended period. Jesus joined Arsenal from Manchester City in 2022.
His current contract runs until the end of the 2026/27 season. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
