Nantes Club Appoints New Head Coach

The French football club "Nantes" has appointed a new head coach. According to the club's press service, Ahmad Qantar will now lead the team.

Qantar has signed a contract with the club until the end of the year, replacing Luis Castro in this position. Ahmad Qantar is no stranger to "Nantes," as he previously worked as an assistant to the then-head coach Antoine Kombouaré during the first half of 2025.

It should be noted that after 15 rounds of the French championship, "Nantes" is among the teams at the bottom of the standings. The team is currently in 17th place with 11 points, above "Metz" only due to additional performance indicators.

"Nantes" will play its first match under the new head coach on Friday, December 12. As part of the 16th round, the "Canaries" will face "Angers."
