Konate and Liverpool in talks over new contract

Ibrahima Konate is reportedly in negotiations to sign a new contract with Liverpool. The French defender's current contract is valid until the summer.

As a result, transfer rumors linking him to major clubs such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have been circulating frequently. Recently, Real Madrid reportedly reignited their interest in Konate following a serious injury to their defender Éder Militão.

However, according to Football Insider, an agreement to extend Konate’s contract with Liverpool could be reached in the coming weeks – before the opening of the winter transfer window. Ibrahima Konate has been playing for Liverpool since the summer of 2021.
