Kavazashvili Praises Brazil and Spain

Former USSR national team player and Moscow's "Spartak" club footballer Anzor Kavazashvili has revealed his favorite for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. "I have been a fan of Brazil since childhood.

I would also like to see the Spanish national team among the champions or prizewinners. In recent years, I have enjoyed France’s performances, but I was somewhat disappointed after the last World Cup.

In Brazilian football, it’s 100% that worthy leaders emerge every year. That is why I consider Brazil as the favorite," Kavazashvili stated in an interview with "Match TV" channel.

It should be noted that the Brazilian national team was eliminated from the Qatar 2022 World Cup after losing to Croatia in the quarter-finals. In the Russia 2018 World Cup, the "Pentacampeões" also failed to progress beyond the quarterfinal stage.

The last time Brazil won the FIFA World Cup was in 2002, hosted jointly by Japan and South Korea.
