Center-back Niko Schlotterbeck of Borussia Dortmund is being considered as one of Bayern Munich’s transfer targets. The Munich club is evaluating the star player of the "Black and Yellows" as a potential alternative to Dayot Upamecano.
Upamecano’s contract is set to expire in the summer of 2026. Schlotterbeck and his representatives reportedly view the prospect of a move to Bayern Munich positively, according to journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl.
Currently, Bayern Munich’s management has not taken any concrete steps regarding this matter, as they are awaiting Upamecano’s final decision. If the French defender extends his contract, the German defender will not join Bayern.
The Transfermarkt portal estimates Niko Schlotterbeck’s transfer value at around 40 million euros.
