Napoli Interested in Signing Luka Modric

Croatian midfielder Luka Modric continues to astonish everyone with his brilliant performance in the Italian league. However, at one point, he could have played for Napoli instead of AC Milan.

This was revealed by former Napoli sporting director Pierpaolo Marino. "When he was 18 years old, we were interested in signing him.

I wanted to see him at Napoli. However, due to bureaucratic issues, it was not possible to make the offer.

Instead of Luka Modric, we signed Marek Hamsik," Marino said in an interview with pianetamilan.it. It should be noted that Marek Hamsik played for Napoli for a total of twelve years.
