Despite Sofonov Conceding Two Goals, PSG Secures Victory


PSG goalkeeper Matvei Safonov shared his thoughts on the victory over Metz in Matchday 16 of Ligue 1. The match ended with a 3-2 win for the Parisians.

Safonov started the match and conceded two goals. "I’m happy to be playing, but I really don’t like conceding goals.

We move forward," he wrote on his Telegram channel. Safonov noted that the game was intense and added that if PSG players had fully capitalized on their opportunities, the match could have been less tense.

For reference, Safonov has started in the lineup for PSG for the third consecutive match. Before conceding the first goal against Metz, he had maintained a clean sheet for nearly 225 minutes.
