Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane shared his thoughts on the 2–2 draw against Mainz during the 14th round of the Bundesliga. The English forward scored a decisive penalty in the 87th minute to level the score.
Nevertheless, this result did not meet the expectations of the Munich club. Kane emphasized that Bayern had complete control of the game in the first half and created enough chances to decide the outcome before halftime.
"We dominated the first half, there were plenty of chances to score. But unexpectedly, they leveled the score just before the break, and it changed the course of the match.
In the second half, we tried to play dominantly again, but the decisive finishing touch was missing," the striker stated. Kane refused to use the tight match schedule as an excuse and acknowledged that the team aimed to finish the first part of the season with two consecutive wins.
