Xabi Alonso Comments on Real Madrid's Loss of Focus


Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso responded to comments about the team's alleged loss of focus during matches. On Sunday, the "Royal Club" defeated Alaves 2-1 in a La Liga match.

In the 24th minute, Kylian Mbappe put the Madrid side ahead, while the hosts equalized in the 68th minute. In the 76th minute, Rodrygo scored the winning goal with a precise strike.

After the match, journalists asked Alonso why Real Madrid seems to lose focus during games. “I disagree with that — situations vary.

There have been moments this season when we have slowed the tempo during matches, but this has not been the case in the last three games,” Alonso was quoted as saying by Madrid Universal. Real Madrid is currently in second place in the La Liga standings with 39 points.
