Bruno Fernandes rejects Al-Hilal offer, stays at Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has revealed that he received an official offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal last summer but chose to stay at his current team. According to the Portuguese player, Saudi representatives contacted him directly: both the president of Al-Hilal and Ruben Neves, who reportedly discussed a potential transfer, had conversations with him.

Fernandes acknowledged that the financial terms in Saudi Arabia were highly enticing but emphasized that money was never the primary factor for him. “I cannot complain—I am paid very well. However, the difference is significant.

That said, I have never made decisions based on money. I could have gone there as many others are doing.

But I am deeply connected to the club. I felt that the club did not want me to leave.

I communicated this to the management, but I believe they didn’t have the courage to make such a decision because the coach needed me,” Canal11 quoted the player as saying. This season, Fernandes has played 16 matches in the English Premier League, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.
