Messi Includes Flick and Courtois Among the Best

It has been revealed whom Lionel Messi voted for during FIFA's The Best awards ceremony. In the Best Player of the Year category, FIFA recognized Ousmane Dembele as the winner, and the 38-year-old Argentine also cast his vote for him.

In the categories of Best Coach and Best Goalkeeper, the choices of the Inter Miami forward aligned with the final results as well. Messi placed Luis Enrique (PSG) as his top pick among coaches, while for goalkeepers, he selected Gianluigi Donnarumma (Manchester City, formerly PSG) in the first position.

In the coaching category, Messi awarded second and third places to Hansi Flick (Barcelona) and Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), respectively. In the goalkeepers’ ranking, Messi gave the second spot to his national teammate Emiliano Martinez, while the third went to Real Madrid’s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
