
RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner may soon leave Europe. Earlier reports indicated that Inter Miami had expressed interest in the German footballer. However, another MLS club, San Jose Earthquakes, has also entered negotiations.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the California-based club has already held talks with the 29-year-old forward. Currently, San Jose Earthquakes is seen as the leading contender for Werner's transfer.
Werner has had limited playtime for RB Leipzig this season — featuring for only two minutes. The forward's current contract with the "Red Bulls" runs until mid-2026 and will not be extended.
