Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) may see the amount it owes to its former star Kylian Mbappe increase significantly. Representatives of the French football player have stated that upon final settlement of all accounts, the club's total debt might reach close to 100 million euros.
Previously, a Paris court completely dismissed claims made by the club and ordered PSG to pay Mbappe approximately 61 million euros. This amount pertains to unpaid salaries and various bonuses that had not been settled before Mbappe's free transfer to Real Madrid.
According to lawyers representing Mbappe, if all the unpaid wages, bonuses, and other contractual obligations are taken into account, the club's debt could exceed 100 million euros. However, after including taxes and social contributions, the net amount Mbappe is expected to receive would decrease significantly to around 25–26 million euros.
It is worth noting that earlier reports in the media suggested Kylian Mbappe had demanded 253 million euros from PSG. In response, Paris Saint-Germain filed counter financial claims against Mbappe, escalating the conflict further.
In summary, the financial dispute between Mbappe and PSG is likely to continue for some time. This ongoing saga has attracted significant attention, not just from the two parties involved but from the entire football community as well.
