Safonov Wins Six Trophies with PSG in One and a Half Years

Goalkeeper Matvey Safonov became the standout hero in the penalty shoot-out during the final of the Intercontinental Cup. The Russian keeper saved four penalties, helping PSG secure victory over Flamengo and claim the trophy.

With this triumph, Safonov has now won six trophies with PSG. He previously captured the French Ligue 1 title, the French Cup, the French Super Cup, the UEFA Champions League, and the UEFA Super Cup.

Now, he has also added the Intercontinental Cup to his collection. It is notable that Matvey Safonov joined PSG in the summer of 2024 after transferring from Krasnodar.
