Manchester City to Recall Player from Bayer Ahead of Schedule

Attacking midfielder Claudio Echeverri is expected to leave Bayer Leverkusen in the near future. The “Pharmacists” had taken the 19-year-old Argentine player on loan from Manchester City in August, but he has struggled to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, there is a high probability that the loan agreement will be terminated prematurely, as the clubs are reportedly discussing conditions to cancel the deal. Echeverri appeared in 11 matches for Bayer, but only started three of them in the main lineup.

He has recorded one assist during his time with the team. In early 2024, Manchester City purchased the promising player from River Plate for €18.5 million.
