Gasperini Criticizes Playing Style of Como Under Fabregas

AS Roma head coach Gian Piero Gasperini sharply criticized the playing style of "Como," managed by Cesc Fabregas. The coach expressed dissatisfaction, particularly with situations involving time-wasting by the goalkeeper.

Gasperini emphasized that such incidents, where no fouls are called because the ball is in play, negatively affect the entertainment value of football, indicating that it is time to take appropriate measures. Highlighting that the ball entered the penalty area 51 times during the match against Inter, Gasperini noted that fans dislike this kind of play.

According to him, such actions make football unappealing, resembling a five-a-side game, and make the match unpleasant to watch. The Serie A 15th-round match between Roma and Como took place on December 15, with Gasperini’s team achieving a 1-0 victory.

The only goal of the match was scored by Wesley in the 60th minute. After 15 rounds, Roma occupies fourth place in the league standings with 30 points.

The team is three points behind league leader Inter.
