
Eduardo Camavinga, central midfielder of Real Madrid and the French national team, plans to open a football academy for children in Angola, according to RMC Sport.
Recently, the footballer traveled to the country where he was born 23 years ago. During his visit, he met with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
"I am very happy to return to my country and to have the opportunity to contribute to its development," Camavinga stated. Earlier, the midfielder had expressed his support for Angola in the Africa Cup of Nations.
In the first round of the tournament's group stage, the Angolan national team lost to South Africa with a score of 2–1. Tomorrow, December 26, Angola will face Zimbabwe.
