Mkhitaryan praises Kivu’s work at Inter

Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan shared his thoughts on the team’s head coach Cristian Kivu. Kivu took over the side in the summer, shortly after the 0–5 defeat to PSG in the Champions League final. Mkhitaryan was asked whether Kivu managed to help the team after that unfortunate final. “Kivu was a great player and has been through similar situations himself. He understood our state and, with some of his words, gave us confidence, hope and energy. He said you can’t change the past, but you can change the future. We’re working, following his ideas and trying to become better through hard work. From day one, Kivu didn’t want to change the team drastically. Being very smart, Kivu understood that after four years with Inzaghi it wouldn’t be easy to make changes.
