According to DAZN, as the midfielder shook the coach’s hand, he asked for an explanation for the early substitution but received no answer. Spalletti told the player to sit on the bench immediately without further questions.

It is worth noting that Locatelli had also received a yellow card seven minutes before leaving the pitch.
