The prestigious 10th Qatar Weightlifting Cup international weightlifting tournament has concluded in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The Uzbekistan national team once again demonstrated its potential at a high level in this competition, which brought together the strongest weightlifters of the world from almost 30 countries.
During the competitions, Uzbek athletes were distinguished by their stability, physical strength, and technical skills. As a result, representatives of our national team won 4 gold, 15 silver, and 5 bronze medals, finishing the competition with a total of 24 medals. This indicator ensured the second place in the overall team standings in points accumulation.
In particular, the stable performance of our compatriots in a number of weight categories was highly appreciated by specialists. For some athletes, this tournament serves as an opportunity to prove themselves in the international arena, for others - as an important experience before future major competitions.
After the end of the competition, the members of the Uzbekistan national team returned to their homeland. In the process of welcoming the athletes, their next success once again confirmed that the country's weightlifting school is developing on the right path.
This was officially announced by the NOC press service. It is noted that such results give the team great confidence ahead of the upcoming world championships and continental competitions.
In conclusion, the tournament in Doha became another successful page for Uzbekistan's weightlifting. Now the main goal is to continue in this spirit and raise our flag high in even bigger arenas.
