Based on the results of the Uzbekistan Championships and the President’s Olympiad held in 2025, judo athletes’ performances were summarized by region. Using the outcomes of the season’s six main tournaments, the Uzbekistan Judo Federation compiled an overall regional ranking by medal tally.
By year-end results, Khorezm Region’s judokas outperformed all rivals in both the number and quality of medals, taking first place in the ranking. This achievement is seen as clear evidence of Khorezm judo’s systematic training, effective youth development, and consistently strong performances in competitions.
The ranking was compiled taking into account the results of the following prestigious competitions:
— Uzbekistan Championship, U23 (Chirchiq);
— Uzbekistan Championship, Cadets (Andijan);
— Uzbekistan Championship, Seniors (Bukhara);
— President’s Olympiad (Tashkent);
— Uzbekistan Championship, Youth (Karshi);
— Uzbekistan Championship, Junior Cadets (Karshi).
In these tournaments, Khorezm Region’s representatives posted strong figures not only in total medals, but also in the share of gold and silver awards, gaining a clear advantage over other regions. Experts say the region’s long-term judo development strategy is delivering results.
According to the Uzbekistan Judo Federation press service, this ranking will help further strengthen healthy competition among regions next season, identify talented youth, and expand the national team reserve. With its 2025 results, Khorezm Region once again reinforced its position as a leading judo school in the country.
