Arshavin says Zakharyan transfer could turn out to be unsuccessful

Zenit deputy chairman of the board Andrey Arshavin noted that Real Sociedad may currently view the transfer of Russian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan as unsuccessful. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

In his view, the main factors behind such a conclusion are the player’s frequent injuries and limited minutes on the pitch.

“Of course, Real Sociedad may be thinking that right now,” RIA Novosti quotes Arshavin as saying.

At the same time, Arshavin added that Zakharyan has enough potential and qualities to prove himself again in Spain.

In the 2025/2026 season, Zakharyan played a total of 14 matches in La Liga and the Copa del Rey, scoring 1 goal.
