Former Georgia national team and Moscow Lokomotiv player Zaza Janashia shared his thoughts on compatriot Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The footballer, who currently plays for French side PSG, won Georgia’s Player of the Year award for the fifth time in his career. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.
According to Janashia, Kvaratskhelia can remain the country’s leading player for many years, but a generation capable of providing worthy competition is already coming through. He stressed that these youngsters may not be ready right now, but in the near future they will be able to challenge Kvaratskhelia.
This year, 24-year-old Kvaratskhelia won several trophies with PSG, including the Intercontinental Cup and the Champions League. In the 2025/26 season, he scored 6 goals and provided 5 assists in 21 matches.
