Top candidate named for Chelsea head coach role

On the first day of 2026, Chelsea officially announced a change of head coach: the London club said that Enzo Maresca has left the team. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

According to The Independent, the leading successor to Maresca is considered to be 41-year-old coach Liam Rosenior. He currently manages French club Strasbourg.

At the moment, Chelsea sit 5th in the Premier League table. The team’s next league match will be on 4 January away against Manchester City, with kick-off at 22:30 (Tashkent time).

In their final match of 2025, Chelsea drew 2–2 with Bournemouth.
