Muhsin Muhammadiyev dies at 60: Tajik and Uzbek football in mourning

One of Tajikistan’s football legends, Muhsin Muhammadiyev, has passed away at the age of 60. The news is a major loss for the football community, especially for fans who closely follow Uzbek football.

Muhammadiyev was also well known in Uzbekistan: during his playing career he featured for Bukhara and Dinamo, earning his place in the local football scene.

He later moved into coaching and is remembered for managing Bukhara in 2019–2020.

Earlier reports said his condition was critical. Sadly, the fight did not end in a positive outcome.

We extend our condolences to Muhsin Muhammadiyev’s family and to all fans who loved him. His name and contribution to football will be remembered.
