Konate becomes a defender with a rare Premier League feat

Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate helped his team keep a clean sheet in the match against Leeds — the game ended 0–0. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

In the clash at Anfield, the Frenchman won all 10 of his one-on-one duels. According to the English media, Konate became only the fourth player in the current Premier League season to take part in 10 or more duels in a single match and record a 100% success rate in all of them. Previously, the same feat was achieved by Manchester United’s Matthijs de Ligt, Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi and Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.

On January 4, Liverpool will face Fulham in the next round.
