Milan’s Inter are planning to strengthen the squad in the winter transfer window. This is reported by euro-football.rureports.
Head coach Cristian Chivu wants to add a new centre-back as well as a right-sided wing-back. According to journalist Pasquale Guarro, the club’s management will try to meet both of the coach’s requests. For the right flank, an experienced player who can immediately strengthen the team is expected to be signed, and the main candidate is already known — João Cancelo. As for the centre-back position, the club is looking at a long-term option: a player who will gain experience through rotation and, over time, be able to compete for a starting spot.
Inter are top of the Serie A table, one point ahead of Milan. On 4 January, Chivu’s side will host Bologna.
