The next match of the round of 16 at the Africa Cup of Nations gave fans a real show. Nigeria played against Mozambique, leaving the opponent without a chance to score a second goal and won convincingly 4-0.
In the first half of the match, the "Super Eagles" quickly took the initiative. In the 20th minute, Ademola Lukman opened the scoring, putting her team ahead. Shortly after, in the 25th minute, Victor Osimhen doubled the lead. So, the very first half created a scenario for Nigeria that "everything is under control."
In the second half, Nigeria pressed harder. In the 47th minute, Osimhen scored again, scoring a brace, effectively deciding the match's fate. Adams scored the final goal in the 75th minute, 4-0. Interestingly, Lookman and Adams didn't limit themselves to just a goal: both made 2 assists, proving once again that they are one of the team's attacking engines.
Thus, Nigeria advanced to the quarterfinals and will now play against the winner of the Algeria - DR Congo pair in the next round. In short, there's an even harder test ahead, but today's 4-0 clearly showed that Nigeria came with serious goals.
