Former Dynamo Moscow and Zenit midfielder Igor Semshov stressed that the result was especially important for Milan in the Serie A match against Genoa. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
The teams met at San Siro in the 19th round and drew 1–1.
According to Semshov, Milan’s players are of a higher level than Genoa’s. He recalled that the Genoa club is fighting for survival, yet noted that the visitors were very close to snatching a win. The expert added that for Milan, those three points were even more crucial in the title race.
He also added that the Genoese side picked up valuable points for themselves as well.
Milan are currently second in the standings, three points behind leaders Inter. Genoa sit in 17th place.
