“In my opinion, saving penalties is not the most important factor in deciding the starting goalkeeper. The key indicator is consistent performances over a long period,” Sovetsky Sport quotes Abaev as saying.
Safonov, who has played only four matches this season, continues his recovery after a hand injury.
