Former star footballer Dean Saunders has recommended that Premier League title contenders Manchester City sign French midfielder N’Golo Kante. Saunders believes Kante could be an excellent transfer for the Manchester side because, as a defensive midfielder, he reads the game deeply and can cover huge areas of the pitch.
“His awareness, movement and experience could fit perfectly into City’s game plan. Even though Kante is 34, he can still perform at a high level,” Saunders told talkSPORT. He also favors offering Kante a one-year contract.
N’Golo Kante enjoyed major success in the Premier League with Leicester and Chelsea. He currently plays for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad. This season, Kante has made 17 appearances and scored 1 goal.
Saunders believes an experienced player like Kante could become an important figure for Manchester City, with his know-how making a big contribution to the team’s success.
