Manchester City find a new right-back for the flank where Husanov plays

Manchester City’s management have concluded that the team needs to sign a new talented player to strengthen the right side of the defence. In this regard, the club’s scouts are closely monitoring several young and promising candidates, continuing to assess their performances and abilities.
In particular, Brentford’s 21-year-old right-back Mikael Kayode is on the Citizens’ radar. Manchester City scouts said they were highly impressed by his defensive reliability and his ability to join attacks. This was reported by Caught Offside.
According to the source, European clubs such as Bayern Munich, Juventus and Inter are also interested in Kayode. If an official bid arrives in the winter window, Brentford will demand €35–40 million, and his price could rise even further next summer.
This season, Kayode has played 25 matches in all competitions, and his current contract runs until the summer of 2030. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is currently around €20 million.
Manchester City’s hierarchy aim to further strengthen the defensive line by adding a talented player like Kayode and target strong results in Europe and domestic competitions next season.
