4 nominees announced for Player of the Week

Matchday 7 of the Champions League league phase has concluded, and the race for the Player of the Week award has reached its peak. UEFA has unveiled the shortlist for the new week, featuring the standout performers of the round.
Accordingly, four players are in contention for the “Player of the Week” title:
- Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior
- Sporting striker Luis Suarez
- Athletic player Robert Navarro
- Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez

Vinicius’ “show” and Navarro’s impact
One of the most eye-catching names on the list is Vinicius Junior. Against Monaco, he not only scored but also delivered two decisive assists, playing a major role in his team’s big win. In short, a leader who both creates and finishes in the same match.
Robert Navarro is not far behind: versus Atalanta, he recorded 1 goal and 2 assists, becoming one of the key figures who decided the outcome. Those numbers are a clear message: “I’m on the pitch.”
Two nominees with braces
The other two nominees, Luis Suarez and Fermin Lopez, stand out as players who scored braces this round. A brace is no coincidence: it reflects sharpness, good decision-making, and composure—especially in the Champions League.
Who won last round?
As a reminder, after Matchday 6, Arsenal’s Noni Madueke was named Player of the Week. Now it’s time to choose the heroes of Matchday 7.
In the end, one question remains: who do you see as the true “king of the week”—Vinicius with goals and assists, one of the brace-makers who seals the game, or Navarro who dismantled the opponent with “1 goal, 2 assists”?
