Former Italian striker Luca Toni said that Massimiliano Allegri is shaping the team’s playing style at AC Milan by taking into account the abilities of the players at his disposal. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to Toni, Allegri has also correctly assessed certain weaknesses among the defenders: noticing that the centre-backs are not very reliable in one-on-one situations against opposition forwards, he positioned them closer to the midfielders. As a result, Leao and Pulisic gain an extra ten metres to accelerate when breaking into attack — as Toni stressed, that is exactly what Allegri wants.
At the moment, AC Milan are in second place in the Serie A standings. In the next round, the Rossoneri will face the capital club Roma.
