Jadon Sancho’s goal earned Aston Villa a 1–0 win over Fenerbahce in the Europa League. The winger, on loan from Manchester United, opened the scoring in the 25th minute and the Turkish side could not respond. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to Squawka, Sancho became only the second English player to score in European competitions for four different clubs. The first to achieve this was former striker Peter Crouch.
Sancho had previously found the net in Europe for Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Chelsea. The goal against Fenerbahce was the 25-year-old’s first for Aston Villa in all competitions.
