Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has been left on the bench in the team’s last two matches despite recovering from injury, euro-football.ru reports reports .
The German player was sidelined for almost five months after an injury suffered in August. Mikel Arteta brought him on from the bench in January cup ties — against Portsmouth and Chelsea. However, in the following clashes with Nottingham Forest and Inter Milan, Havertz spent the matches on the substitutes’ bench.
According to journalist Ison Hann, Arsenal still have concerns about the 26-year-old’s physical condition. After returning, Havertz experienced fresh discomfort, prompting the club to limit his minutes as a precaution.
The Gunners are not rushing Havertz back into the starting XI, aiming to get him to peak condition ahead of the decisive part of the season.
