The "Millennium Team Cadet European Cup 2026" international tournament held in Antalya, Turkey, started successfully for young Uzbek judokas. On the first day of the competition, members of our national team performed worthily in intense bouts and managed to win a total of 8 medals.
During the tournament, Iroda Sirojiddinova, Charos Hikmatova, and Bobur Yusupov defeated all their opponents in their weight categories and climbed to the top of the podium. In honor of their victory, the national anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was played on Turkish soil. Also, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals were added to our national team's tally.
According to the press service of the Uzbekistan Judo Federation, Shokhjakhon Usmonov and Akromjon Karimov won silver medals. Bronze medals went to Alina Kolyucheva, Mamurjon Abduvahobov, and Davlatbek Ahrorov. This result of our young athletes inspires great confidence ahead of future international competitions.
