The first day of the World Cup stage in artistic gymnastics has concluded in Turkey with two members of the Uzbekistan national team successfully advancing to the finals.
Oksana Chusovitina earned her place in the vault final after scoring 13.083 points while Abdullaziz Mirvaliev qualified in the floor exercise with a score of 13.533 points. Both athletes placed within the top eight in their respective events and will now compete for medals on the following day.
The second day of qualification rounds is scheduled to take place today as more gymnasts battle for spots in the finals. The National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan shared details about the team's performance at the competition.
