Flick analyzed Barcelona’s win

"Barcelona" head coach Hans-Dieter Flick said his team can still improve despite a convincing 5:2 victory over "Sevilla" in La Liga round 28. After the match, the German manager praised the return of Gavi and called it a major boost for the squad.
Flick admitted that his side did not play at full speed in every phase of the game. He said "Barcelona" moved the ball too slowly at times and lacked confidence in several moments. The coach also stressed that his players must press more aggressively after losing possession, especially with important Champions League matches coming up.
He singled out Dani Olmo for a strong performance and also noted the useful contributions of Espart and Cancelo. Even so, Flick believes the overall display could have been better and said the team must raise its level in the coming games.
Speaking about Cancelo, Flick explained that the defender needed time to adapt, but has looked excellent in recent matches. He praised the Portuguese player’s technique and pointed to his goal, the penalty he won for the opening goal, and his role in setting up the offside trap as proof of his value.
"Barcelona" will now turn its attention to the Champions League. On March 18, the Spanish side will host "Newcastle" in the return leg of the round of 16 after the first match ended in a 1:1 draw.
