What did Barcelona fans think about Messi's return?

The renowned Spanish television channel TV3 has addressed questions to club fans and representatives regarding Lionel Messi's potential return to Barcelona. This issue was also widely discussed during the presidential election campaign held at the club.
As is known, Joan Laporta will once again lead the club in the elections held on March 15th. While the candidates and their programs were discussed during the election process, fans were also asked about Messi, who holds a special place in the club's history.
According to a special poll conducted by TV3, some of those who participated in the vote expressed their desire for the Argentinian star to return to the team as a player. According to precise figures, 10% of participants expressed a desire to see Messi return to the field and play for the Blaugrana.
However, many fans preferred a different option. 55.5% of the survey participants supported the idea of organizing a big farewell match in honor of Messi. According to this proposal, the club legend should be appropriately observed in front of the fans.
Furthermore, 28% of participants expressed their desire to see Messi as the club's honorary president. They believe the Argentinian star holds such an important place in the club's history and culture that he should always be associated with Barcelona.
The remaining small portion - approximately 6% of participants - indicated they didn't want Messi to return to the club at all. They put forward the idea of starting a new era and giving the younger generation an opportunity.
Thus, there are various opinions among fans about Messi's future with the club. But one thing is clear: Lionel Messi's name will remain inextricably linked to Barcelona's history for many years to come.
