A fan account named cr7historical described the Arab Champions Cup, which the club “Al Nassr” won in 2023, as an official tournament, emphasizing that Ronaldo’s goals in this competition should not be excluded from his overall statistics.
The post also stated: “FIFA has recognized this trophy as an official tournament from the very beginning. Therefore, both the title in this competition and Ronaldo’s goals are included in his professional career statistics. None of his 967 goals will be deleted.”
Ronaldo, in response to this discussion, left a short and clear comment on the post: “Acceptance is a virtue.”
For reference, the Arab Champions Cup is not held on a regular basis and is considered more of an international friendly-level tournament.
