Hard-fought victory: What Mirjalol Qosimov said after the match

As part of the 8th round of the Uzbekistan Super League, OKMK from Olmaliq defeated Bukhara 3:2 on their home ground. The match was intense and dramatic, providing fans with true football excitement. After the game, head coach Mirjalol Qosimov shared his thoughts at the press conference.
Qosimov noted that returning to their own stadium in a short time and winning in front of the fans made the victory twice as joyful. He praised Bukhara as an organized and prepared team, noting that the match was not easy.
"While we were leading 2:0, the opponent did not give up and managed to equalize within the first half. They proved once again that they are very dangerous, especially in set-piece situations," the coach said.
In the second half, OKMK intensified their play and regained the initiative. According to Qosimov, the team showed character and eventually decided the result in their favor.
He expressed special gratitude to the fans, emphasizing that their support played an important role in the victory. He also wished Bukhara luck in their upcoming matches.
"In the second half, our boys stepped up and luck was on our side. I express my gratitude to the fans who have been supporting us. Good luck to Bukhara in their next matches," said the coach.
Qosimov also touched upon the strengths of the opposing team. He specifically noted their ability to create danger through set-pieces—free kicks, corner kicks, and even throw-ins. In his opinion, the opponent had achieved results through such situations previously.
"As I mentioned, the opponent's strength lies in standards: free kicks, corners, throw-ins... If I recall correctly, they also beat Navbahor in previous games with a goal scored from a set-piece," Qosimov said.
Although this game has entered history for the coach, attention is now fully focused on the next battles. The team faces the task of serious preparation for the upcoming matches.
