The footballer noted that being sidelined at a moment when the team needs him most has caused him deep distress. He admitted that it is difficult to express the situation in words and that not being able to fight alongside his teammates is painful for him.
“This injury has taken me away from the pitch, precisely at a time when I wanted to play most. It is not easy to explain my situation because I cannot fight with my teammates and I cannot help them when they need me. However, I believe in them and I know they will give their best in every match,” Yamal said.
At the same time, he emphasized that despite being away from the squad, he remains with them in spirit. The player stated that he will continue to support his teammates and celebrate every one of their victories.
“Even if I am not on the pitch, I am with the team. I will continue to help them and rejoice with them. This is not the end, only a temporary break. I will return stronger and with even greater passion. Next season will definitely be better,” he added.
It is worth noting that Yamal sustained the injury during the La Liga Matchday 33 fixture against Celta Vigo. He was injured in the first half while scoring a penalty and was subsequently forced to leave the field.
