The IWF Youth World Championships are currently underway in Ismailia, Egypt, featuring intense and competitive bouts. In this prestigious tournament, where the world's strongest young athletes are competing, representatives of the Uzbekistan national team are performing admirably and upholding the honor of our country.
On the most recent day of competition, Uzbek weightlifters once again brought joy to their fans. The national team added another silver and a bronze medal to its tally, demonstrating once again that our country's weightlifting school is discovering new talents year after year.
In the -79 kg weight category, our talented athlete Boburmirzo Yoqubov recorded a result of 152 kg in the snatch, earning a silver medal at the World Championships. Our compatriot stood out throughout the competition for his strong willpower and high level of preparation. His confident performance in the decisive attempts, in particular, caught the attention of experts and fans alike.
The flag of Uzbekistan was also raised high in the women's competitions. Ziyoda Xudoyqulova, competing in the -63 kg weight category, secured a bronze medal in the snatch with a result of 93 kg. Our young athlete showed great courage and patience, earning a worthy place among strong competitors.
According to experts, such international competitions are of great importance for young athletes to gain experience and achieve success in major arenas in the future. Winning a medal at the World Championship level is the result of hard work and serious preparation.
