Chelsea warned against appointing Cesc Fabregas

Chelsea are being urged to reconsider the idea of appointing Cesc Fabregas as head coach. Experts believe the former player lacks sufficient experience and his current team, Como, struggles to maintain consistency in crucial matches. This is according to Goal.com reports .
Having parted ways with Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior for the 2025-26 season, Chelsea are once again searching for a new head coach. The club's leadership, led by Todd Boehly, aims to end the instability in the dugout. Although the team has fallen out of the top seven in the Premier League, the club continues to be active in the transfer market.
Former defender Tony Dorigo praised Fabregas's work at Como in an interview with GOAL, but emphasized that he is not yet ready for a high-pressure club like Chelsea. Dorigo cited Como's tendency to lose after leading in important matches against Inter and in the Coppa Italia.
According to Dorigo, managers with Premier League experience like Andoni Iraola or Marco Silva might be a better fit for Chelsea. There is no doubt Fabregas will become a great coach in the future, but at this stage, he is still in the process of shaping his philosophy.
