Uzbek judokas start with a medal haul on the first day

The Uzbekistan national judo team brought joy to fans from the very first day of the competition. Our athletes in the -66 kg weight category stood out with confident performances, high-level preparation, and a strong desire to win.
Abdurahim Nutfulloyev's performance was particularly noteworthy. Throughout the bouts, our compatriot demonstrated technical skill, the ability to make correct decisions under pressure, and the determination to fight until the final seconds. He surpassed his opponents and ultimately won the gold medal.
Another representative, Anvarjon Ibrohimov, also reached the podium on the first day. He defeated the host nation's athlete in the bronze medal match. Such a victory is always twice as sweet, as fighting against a host athlete involves pressure not only from the opponent but also from the arena atmosphere.
As a result of these successes, the Uzbekistan national team currently sits in second place overall. This shows that our team has found a good rhythm early in the competition and can seriously contend for high results in the coming days.
Today, the competition continues in the middleweight categories. Tomorrow, our heavyweight judokas will step onto the tatami. This means Uzbek fans have more exciting bouts, intense clashes, and hopes for new medals ahead.
According to the press service of the Uzbekistan Judo Federation, our national team is continuing the competition in high spirits. The first-day results have undoubtedly boosted our athletes' confidence.
Every second on the judo mat is crucial. A moment of inattention can change the fate of an entire bout. However, our athletes showed from day one that they are serious about their preparation, character, and drive to win. Now, the main task is to maintain this pace and increase the medal count.
