Barcelona forward Raphinha has admitted he cannot fully replace the team's young star Lamine Yamal. After it was confirmed that the Spanish talent would miss El Clásico against Real Madrid due to injury, the Brazilian player clarified the expectations placed upon him. "If I play on the right wing, don't expect miracles from me because I am not Lamine. Lamine is a true star and what he does on the pitch is special," Raphinha emphasized in an interview with Movistar.
Raphinha is returning to the squad after an injury sustained during the international break. Although he admitted he is not yet at his peak physical form, he expressed his readiness to help his team ahead of the upcoming crucial match.
The Brazilian also touched upon his future at Barcelona. Despite transfer rumors, he stated that he respects his contract running until 2028 and wants to stay at the Catalan club for many years.
